Will Mom Tok Survive this? Grab your mini cookies and a dirty soda and get ready to throw the ultimate Secret Lives of Mormon Wives watch party! You might be team Sinner or team Saint, but either way this cheeky themed gathering blends the sweet with the scandalous and is just another great excuse to spend time with your girls.

There isn’t much you need. You’re gathering your girls for something impromptu and casual.

Just send a quick text to your reality TV peeps. Low maintenance parties make it more likely that you will be willing to gather your people. We simply told everyone to set aside the date; try to wear baby blue – a node to the signature trench coats seen in the show and to bring a plate of mini cookies.

Everyone brings a plate of mini cookies, Swig style! A few crowd-pleasing suggestions:

Dirty Soda Bar: Sinners vs. Saints

Create a soda station with ingredients that let people build their own dirty drinks. Homemade Dirty Diet Coke Syrup

  • 1/2 cup coconut syrup
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Mix and store in a squeeze bottle. Add 1-2 Tbsp to a Diet Coke over ice.

Fruity Pebbles Cookie Recipe

Bright and Playful this is the perfect fun reference to the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reality show.

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups fruity pebbles, slightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 and line baking sheets with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy (about2-3 minutes)
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mix until fully combined
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  • Gently fold in the Fruity Pebbles and optional marshmallows if using.
  • Scoop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2" apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Tips and Tricks

  • Don't over-crush the cereal-leave colorful chunks for texture and visual appeal
  • Add a few whole Fruity Pebbles on top before baking for extra colour pop
  • Freeze any leftover dough balls to make on demand!
  • Use other cereals like Fruit Loops or Cap'n Crunch

Dirty Dr. Pepper Cookies

A chewy coconut kissed cookie with a bright lime glaze – Swig inspired after your favourite dirty soda. It's sweet, citrusy and fun.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 20 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut

Lime Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp lime zest

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. (2-3 minutes)
  • Beat in eggs, vanilla and almond extract until smooth
  • Add the baking soda and Dr. Pepper, mix until combined.
  • Slowly add the flour and mix until just combined. Fold in the coconut.
  • Scoop dough into balls and place 2" apart on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden an centers are set. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring.

Make the Lime Glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, lime juice, milk and zest until smooth.
  • Once cookies are cool, spoon or drizzle glaze over the tops.
  • Optional: Sprinkle extra lime zest or coconut on top

Serving Tip

  • Serve Chilled with a "dirty soda" or an iced Dr. Pepper with lime, coconut syrup and a maraschino cherry!
