Raspberry Syrup

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries

Cocktail

  • 1.5 oz raspberry vodka
  • 3/4 oz raspberry syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz raspberry liqueur (like Chambord)
  • 2 oz soda water or club soda
  • ice
  • lemon wheel or fresh raspberries for garnish
  • mini clothespin and small printed “Jolene” lyric card

Raspberry Syrup

If you decided you’d like to make this drink even more sassy try making your own raspberry syrup. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water and 3/4 fresh raspberries in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, 5 minutes. remove from heat. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and discard solids. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Mix Your Cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add raspberry vodka, syrup, lemon juice, and raspberry liqueur. Shake until chilled.

Strain into a glass filled with ice.

Top with soda water or club soda.

Add some fresh raspberries to the glass, maybe even a spritz of edible glitter.

Expert Tips and Tricks

Swap: If you don’t have raspberry vodka, use plain vodka and muddle a few fresh raspberries if you want a fresher, brighter version
