Tips and Tricks
Tequila choice: Blanco tequila will keep it crisp but for fall a reposado will add warmth and an aged note.
Make ahead: Mix is all together the day before and just add ice and garnish right before serving.
Mocktail: Replace your tequila and Cointreau with a sparkling water and a splash of orange soda for a festive non alcoholic option.
Serving ideas: Pair with spiced nuts, charcuterie, pumpkin donuts or a Strawberry Balsamic Brie for the perfect fall welcome.
FAQ
Can I make the Spiced Cranberry Fall Margarita ahead of time? Yes! We all this a dump and pour recipe. The cocktail will actually get better if you make if a few hours ahead. Just don’t add the ice until serving.
What kind of cranberry juice should I use? Try to find 100% pure cranberry juice. Pure juice will give you that tart, red flavour that will provide balance. Add simple syrup or honey if it is too tart.
What is the best way to garnish it? I always think a garnish should represent some of the flavours inside of the cocktail. We recommended orange slices, fresh cranberries, a cinnamon stick and of course a sugared rim. To make something really special; roll some fresh cranberries in sugar and freeze into ice cubes. They will create a little sparkle.
