Wild About You Party Theme- A Ladies Lunch

When your fabulous friend is obsessed with leopard print and loves palm trees you throw her a party as bold and beautiful as she is. This “Wild About You” party theme was designed to be chic, tropical, and full of glam touches to celebrate our leopard-loving queen in style
Must Haves – Party Essentials
In order for this party to be hit the wild mark in a classy way we needed:
- Bold, heavily themed invitations and a vibrant tablescape
- A menu that dazzles and suits our guests dietary needs
- Signature cocktails
- Statement -making backdrops that showcase our gals

The Call to Celebrate – Invitations
Set the tone of your party with bright pink and leopard print invitations featuring lush palm leaves. This is your guest’s first impression – this one screamed fun, glam and wildly fabulous.
Dress Code
One rule: Wear Leopard. There were subtle accessories and full-on feline fashion. This created a fierce and fabulous vibe.
Style the Scene – Decor and Ambiance
We went for maximalist jungle glam. Layered textures, eye-catching prints and luxe touches will make your party a huge success. We wanted sultry and stylish – like stepping into a tropical cabana designed by a fashion editor.
Color Scheme
Black, gold, hot pink, and a base of cream created all the feels for our party. Deep burgundy touches added richness and contrast pulling everything together.
Tablescape
The table was our showstopper which is appropriate when you’re having a ladies lunch. We wanted it very luxe and busy but elegant touches like menu cards and crystal glasses. The mix is what creates royal tropical feel.
- Leopard print tablecloth
- Gold placemats and gold chargers
- Deep burgundy table runner
- Low vases with deep red, burgundy and hot pink roses. We kept the flowers low so our guests could see each other easily for meaningful conversations
- Hot pink taper candles
- Crystal wine glasses
- Hot pink napkins with gold napkin rings
- Custom menu cards at each place setting

Backdrop
We created a photo area that was layered, lush and leopard-approved. It was the first thing you saw when you walked in the door. Our guests saw this and knew the rest of the afternoon would also be over the top.
- A photo of a leopard on a couch with hot pink flowers sat beside the guest of honor’s chair
- leopard print rugs on the floor
- A colorful layered fringe bordered with balloons.
- A designated chair for the birthday girl decked with hot pink pillows and a special print matching pillow
- Tropical plants
How to Create a Layered Fringe Backdrop
- Prep the Wall – Choose a flat wall with some space in front of it. Place painters tape along the wall where you plant to hang the fringe so that when you take it off your paint won’t be wrecked.
- Hang the Fringe Base – Attach each panel side by side to create the full length.
- Layer Additional colours – Attach additional colors on top to create a tired dimensional effect. Stagger the fringe left or right to show each color. Alternate patches of each color. Use Painters tap to attach if the fringe doesn’t come with an adhesive at the top.
- Build a Balloon Garland – If you want a finished look at the top of your Fringe Backdrop, create a balloon garland. Use assorted sizes.

Foundation of Flavours – Sips & Bites
We created a gluten free menu that was tropical inspired and fabulous
Sips
Jungle Queen Spritz
- 1.5 oz amaretto
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz sparkling water or prosecco
The Wildly Chic
- 2 oz pink gin
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp egg whites
- 1 oz Tropical fruit juice
Bites
Tropical Charcuterie – add fresh tropical fruits as well as tropical dried fruits to theme up your charcuterie board. A charcuterie board offers you a buffer for when your guests arrive and before you are ready to serve them a formal course. There is something for them to nibble on while they start with a cocktail. We made white chocolate bark with a hot pink and black leopard pattern to tie in the theme.
Bang Bang Chicken served over Roasted Cauliflower and Quinoa – This is gluten free, a great make ahead dish and very tropical.
Beet Hummus with fresh veggies – This add color to your table and is perfect for a ladies lunch. We just took store bought hummus and mixed in finely chopped cooked beets.

Roasted Cabbage with Miso – I normally use this recipe on brussel sprouts but I wanted something easy to cook in the oven while I was buy entertaining. Roasted cabbage is sweet and and the Miso sauce covers all the other flavours. This will become a favourite side for you.
Lemon Shrimp Risotto with Asparagus – A risotto dish is an elegant meal and also provides your guests something hearty. Another gluten free option; it plates very nicely and people generally love risotto.
Champagne Infused Chocolate covered Strawberries – We made chocolate covered strawberries and then we used cupcake pipettes to get a nice bubbly shot of rose champagne into each Strawberry and then dusted them in edible glitter. They were really easy and so glamourous.
Leopard Print Swiss Roll Cake – This cake is really easy to make and so much fun. I’ve made it with swear words on it for my husband. You can do pictures; the leopard print is a really simple one to start with. The chiffon cake is delicious and easy to work with.
Finishing Touches – Activities and Entertainment
Polaroid Photo Booth – guests can snap pics with the fabulous backdrop but with a vintage feel
Custom Lip Gloss Bar – Everyone can create their own bright pink lip gloss
PlayList – Always have a great playlist ready; either one that suits your guest of honor or one that is on theme. Tropical House Beats would be great but anything upbeat and fun would work.
Party Favours – leopard print nail files, lip gloss or gold under eye masks would be cute.
Tips for Success
Let the Theme Guide You – This is a heavily themed party and if you should let it guide every decision from drinks to decor. This will create the details you need.
Mix Prints – With a cohesive color palette; you’ll achieve something really glam by mixing prints and textures
Details – The details are what makes a ladies lunch extra special. Menu cards, matching pillows, signature cocktails, – this is what your guests will remember.
Prep – Do as much as you can the days before the party so you are feeling relaxed and can enjoy your hard work along side your guests.
