From rooftop views to bold flavors, these spots brought all the flavor and flair that made our weekend unforgettable. These are our must-try trendy restaurants in Phoenix for a girls’ trip — ones we’ll be dreaming about (and definitely tasting again next time).

1. Culinary Dropout
There are several locations in the area so that will help with your planning. Culinary Dropout is the ultimate hangout spot. It’s casual, edgy and always a hit. Grab some pretzel bites with cheese fondue, enjoy the outdoor games and dive into cocktails that are cute and fun.
2. Elephante at Scottsdale Fashion Square
Transport yourself to the Italian coast at Elephante a chic restaurant nestled in Scottsdale Fashion Square. Known for its breezy ambiance and dessert inspired chic decor, its the perfect spot for a stylish lunch or a casual but upscale dinner. We were recommend to try the Whipped Eggplant with Puccia Bread; and we also ordered a pizza and salad to share. The highlight for me however was the Mascarpone and Prosecco Arancini with melon passato. Add something refreshing from their craft cocktail list to compliment your meal.
Stoop Kid
We found this charming breakfast joint in Phoenix by accident as we were looking for Chaconne ( a luxury pastry shop). I took us to the wrong address and we fell into this uber cool and boho little complex of shops, bar and restaurants. The Stoop Kid is all about local ingredients, massive flavour and nostalgic names. It’s creative, craveable and messy. You know a breakfast sandwich is done properly when it’s messy. Coffee lovers, rejoice – they do that right too.
4. Hash Kitchen – Brunch + DJ= Party Morning
This is more than brunch. With live DJs, over-the-top bloody mary bars and glittery pancake flights, Hash Kitchen brings the energy. Come hungry and bring your dancing shoes. Start with a mimosa pour to start your Reels.

5. Dragon Flame Chinese Grill
For a late night culinary adventure or and early supper, head to Dragon Flame Chinese Grill in Tempe. This spot offers authentic Norther Chinese cuisine with a modern twist. Expect a hole in the wall vibe that might even make you nervous but trust me this place is fun, great service and excellent food. Their dishes are crafted with rich flavourful broths, and a variety of spices. The highlight – dessert. They do milk cakes crafted in the shapes of bunnies or hound dogs; fried ice cream chicken legs and Dragon’s breath. An interactive dining experience for sure.
6. Ziggy’s Magic Pizza Shop and Stardust Pinbar Speakeasy
This is a twofer (two for one). Enter Ziggy’s for some New York style pizza and sneak into the Stardust Pinbar; a neon-lit speakeasy. It is full of retro pinball machines, retro charm and neon disco girl dreams. They sell whole pizzas or pizza by the slice. Cocktails are fun and match the vibe. Under 21 need to be out by 8 pm.
7. Taco Guild – Church Turned Taco Heaven
Set in a renovated church, this historic hip taco spot has amazing decor and food. Gourmet tacos, tequila flights and stunning stain glass windows. The ambiance leaves you with so much to check out and look at. Lots of variety of tacos and cocktails. We come here every time we’re in town.
8. The Canal Club at The Scott
We stay at The Scott and loved it. Highly stylized but with a down to earth feeling. The hotel restaurant, The Canal Club is tropical, Cuban-inspired and worth a standalone visit. Come for brunch or dinner. Their outdoor patio is welcoming and pretty. We had a tasty breakfast before we headed out on our day’s adventures.
9. Pizzeria Bianco
Chris Bianco is the James Award winning chef at this nationally acclaimed restaurant. One of my favourite chefs; Nancy Silverton claims his pizza to be the best. These are wood-fired pizzas and you will see Bianco’s dedication to ingredients in their fennel sausage, roasted onions and pistachios. Setting is intimate and this is a must visit for the serious pizza lover. Featured on Netflix’s series “Chef’s Table: Pizza”

Vecina
A Latin inspired experience but with a contemporary vibe. The menu is a fusion of bold flavours that mimics their bright vibrant murals. They have been a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant in 2020 and are locally recognized as an essential dining experience.

Expert Tips and Tricks
We tried to help with perfect places for photos but we also chose incredible tasting restaurants. There is no flavour sacrificed with the choices above.
Consider booking ahead if you are a group or really want to partake in the restaurants offerings.
I always suggest sharing plates so you can taste more. Ask you waitress for their favourite more popular items on the menu. I always ask their least favourite. It makes them more trustworthy than if they say everything is good. We always have a good laugh too when I tell them we’re establishing trust.
As always when you’re with your people, share your plates, sip slowly, capture the moment and soak it all in. These moments are where the girl’s trip magic will happen.
Side Note: Where we Stayed
We would highly recommend The Scott Resort and Spa. Very stylish hotel with a warm and relaxing ambiance while the pool area was more of a beach party vibe.
